Set of 11 historical natural mineral pigments gives you the basic hues for icon painting. The kit includes 1 oz. (29 ml) each of Glauconite, Goethite (Brown Ochre), Hematite, Hematite (Cold) (Caput Mortum), Gold Ochre, Red Ochre, Shungite (Carbon Black), Raw Sienna, Malachite, Lazurite and Vivianite (Blue Ochre) -- all packaged in individual bottles. These historical pigments represent the basic set of hues used in many ancient Russian icons. They are also specified by many icon painting instructors, such as Vladislav Andrejev, for their workshops. The kit includes all the popular palette colors: blue, green, yellow, red, brown and black.
