Maria Virginia Revuelto holds Iconography workshops (12 days) and regular classes for smalls groups of students, beginners or advanced, teaching traditional byzantine techniques and russian techniques with egg tempera, assiste, and mural painting with buonno fresco (old technique) and modern encaustic using ancient icon models.
Also working with different egg tempera techniques and recipes, making natural pigments, studying old and modern pigments, water gilding, raised gilding techniques, polychromy over gilging, metal repousse, theory and practice of color, history, theology and meaning of icons.
She also paints large or small scale icons, murals, art works for churches and for private persons on commission. |
