Icon-Painting Byzantine Egg Tempra Workshop

Hand-painted Russian-Byzantine Icons using only traditional techniques and materials. True Russian artist trained at the Tver, Russia Icon School. Writing Icons for 12 years with both new work and restorative writing. SIX-DAY INTENSIVE ICON WORKSHOP in OKLAHOMA CITY, OK The tuition for the workshop is $550.00 Enrollment is limited to 20 students. The workshop is open to adults and teenagers. The students will learn to transfer drawings to the gesso panel, apply gold leaf, and paint in the Byzantine style. This workshop will teach the traditional Byzantine style egg tempera technique. Students will gain basic knowledge and will have the opportunity to complete an icon and take it home. All steps will be demonstrated and explained. The deadline for registration is April 20, 2006. All materials required are included with the tuition fee for the workshop. This covers all materials required for the completion of an icon. Students of all levels are welcome. Lodging and meals are not included. Continental breakfast is provided in the tuition fee as well as coffee/tea/soda with snacks for morning and afternoon breaks each day. Class will be completed at Noon on Saturday May 6, 2006
