Hand Painted

Atelier "Byzart"

Orthodox mural paintings and icons. The aim of our work is to preserve and update an ancient, but sacred and spiritually alive tradition -- Orthodox painting, which is inextricably bound up with Byzantine aesthetics. Our attempts of visualizing the verbal metaphors are directed to the creation of original and picturesque compositions. Our work follows the evolution of traditional techniques -- “secco,” “fresco,” by using the original procedures as well those of cotemporary acrylics.
