Mandorla Icon Studio - Byzantine Egg Tempera

Wedding Icon of St. Basil the Great and St. Mary of Egypt, egg tempera
Wedding Icon of St. Basil the Great and St. Mary of Egypt, egg tempera

Khouriya Susan (wife of Orthodox priest, Fr. Basil Cushman) has studied egg tempera iconography under Greek, Romanian and Russian instructors. She does commissioned icons on quality wood, using natural pigments and gold leaf. "Wedding Icons" like this one (which has the patron saints of the bride and groom together) are wonderful gifts to celebrate a wedding or anniversary. She also lectures on Orthodox iconography, teaches classes in her studio, and leads week-long workshops at St. John Antiochian Orthodox Church in Memphis, Tennessee. For prices and more information, please contact her by email or phone. A photo gallery of icons can be sent by email.
